What causes pain?

Pain in your back or neck could be due to a pinched nerve. A pinched nerve is caused when too much pressure is applied to the nerve by surrounding tissue including muscles, tendons, cartilage and bone.

A pinched nerve can also cause tingling, numbness and weakness.

In sciatica it is the sciatic nerve that is being pinched. The sciatic nerve goes from the low back all the way down the legs.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is the median nerve in your wrist being pinched.

Chiropractic can help to alleviate these symptoms without drugs or surgery by realigning the spine. This takes the pressure off the nerve to get your body back to optimal health. Chiropractors can also adjust extremities which would be used in the case of carpal tunnel syndrome, heel or foot pain.
